The Role of the Area Sales Manager:
Joining this organisation as a field sales representative you will need to be a proven sales achiever within the building materials or wider construction industry. Having the enthusiasm to manage a large territory, having the hunger and desire to be able to manage a wide variety of clients including National & Regional merchants, other building product manufacturers and the architect/specifier channel. The variety, opportunity and scope of this role would suit some looking to step into a larger role with a reputable manufacturer. Your purpose will be to manage the established account base as well as target new markets with the manufacturing and specification market.
The Candidate for the Area Sales Manager:
The successful candidate needs to be enthusiastic, motivated and have the energy to sell within the competitive building products market space. Having worked within the building products / materials industry you will be looking for the next step and challenge. Knowledge of national or regional merchants/distributors or working for an existing construction building materials manufacturer would be a distinct advantage and candidate with this exposure are encouraged to apply.
- You MUST have experience of working for, or with, builders merchants/distributors or a construction building materials manufacturer
- Ideally you will have some exposure to client facing roles, sales or other types of commercial work
- Self-drive/motivation and confidence to maintain and develop a successful sales territory
The Package for the Area Sales Manager:
·Up to £35,000 basic salary
