The Role of the Sales Development Representative:
Reporting to the sales director, you will be responsible for generating new business appointments for the more senior members of the team. Deals are complex and sales cycles can be long with multiple decision makers involved in the process. The role is well supported but you will need to be prepared and used to generating your own appointments and outreach, researching and nurturing prospects and be familiar with the tools necessary to do this well ie LinkedIn. The company are very supportive and help in your development. There are excellent opportunities for progression into senior new business, customer success or marketing roles.
The Candidate for the Sales Development Representative:
The successful candidate needs to be a driven, motivated, hardworking, self-starter. You will be someone that has a keen interest in tech, artificial intelligence and business that really wants to work in a forward-thinking organisation. Personality is everything for this, you need to be friendly, lively, committed and a real team player. We are looking for someone that wants to build on their sales skills, someone that can be coached and developed and have a keen interest in personal development. You will need to have 12 months experience in sales, but to be successful in this role you will:
- Ideally have a degree or be from a business background with a real interest in sales, tech, and IT
- Possess an excellent level of written and spoken English
- Have 12 months sales experience in technology sales, B2B sales or recruitment
- Have a real passion for detail and be naturally curious
- Possess self-drive/motivation, career ambition and a real can-do attitude
