The Role of the Field Service Engineer:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be based from home with occasional access to the office. You will be servicing, repairing maintaining and installing a range of precision machinery such as honing, grinding, and cutting tools. Each day, you will be visiting a range of clients across a variety of industries. You will encounter mechanical and electrical faults, which you will be required to amend and fix. You will receive training on the equipment and all the tools for the job. This role is a 70/30 mechanically biased role.
The Candidate for the Field Service Engineer Opportunity:
The successful candidate needs to be a hardworking, motivated, hands-on engineer mechanical or electrical engineer. You will have ideally previously worked in a field service position working on mechanical or electrical equipment, however our client also has an affinity for ex-military engineering personnel. Your ability to be a problem solver and a can-do attitude together with a sound mechanical background is vital.
- You’ll have previous field service engineering experience
- Mechanical bias
- Understand and read schematic diagrams
- Ideally hold a formal mechanical engineering qualification
- Able to fault find and fix on mechanical and electrical systems
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
