Your Role as a Field Service and Calibration Engineer
- You’ll be field based, covering the UK with very occasional international travel.
- You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair a range of metallurgy and measurement systems, including Hardness Testing, scales, measures and others.
- You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others.
- You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and always maintained to ISO/IEC 17025 and ASTM standards.
- Compile detailed reports as appropriate.
- Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
- The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 – 2 per week.
Ideal Background for the Field Service and Calibration Engineer Position
- You’ll need experience in the calibration of lab-based equipment.
- Either as a current service engineer, or as somebody using the machinery in a lab.
- A strong engineering understanding is essential in mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Approachable, honest, and a team player.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can’t be provided.

The Package for the Field Service and Calibration Engineer
- £33,000 – £38,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
- Annual company performance related bonus.
- Pension at 5% from company, 3% employee.
