Graduate Field Service Engineer – Materials Testing

The Role of Graduate Field Service Engineer:
- You’ll be field based, covering a territory and visiting customer sites on a daily basis
- You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of this mechatronics biased testing equipment and instrumentation.
- You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others.
- You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and always maintained to UKAS / INAB / ASTM standards.
- Fantastic training and progression opportunities
- You should be calibrating systems within 3 months and UKAS / INAB certified within 6 months
- The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home.
The Candidate for the Graduate Field Service Engineer:
- Familiar with electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- A background in materials science, mechatronics, or electronic/electrical engineering is highly desirable.
- Previous successful hires have also come from an engineering discipline from the Armed Forces
- Knowledge of Charpy, IZOD, Impact Testing, and ISO 148-1 is of distinct interest.
- Hydraulic knowledge in addition to electrical would be of significant interest
- Strong IT skills and have good attention to detail
- Hold a full valid driving licence and passport
- Have right to work in the Republic of Ireland as sponsorship can’t be provided.
The Package for the Graduate Field Service Engineer:
- €35,000 – €40,000 Basic Salary, D.O.E
- (Depending on starting salary) Pay rise achieving personal UKAS / INAB certification (~6 months)
- €6.76 daily lunch allowance when in field
- €30 meal allowance if away
- Expensed company van or reimbursed business miles
