The Role of the Field Service Engineer:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be based from home. You will be servicing, repairing, maintaining and installing a range of strapping machines used within various industries such as food, construction, pharma, and distribution found at the end of the production or packaging line. Each day, you will be visiting a range of well-known and prestigious clients. You will encounter mechanical and electrical faults, which you will be required to amend and fix. You will receive in-house manufacturers training on the strapping machines and all the tools for the job. This role is a multi-skilled role.
The Candidate for the Field Service Engineer Opportunity:
The successful candidate needs to be a hardworking, motivated, hands on engineer mechanical or electrical engineer. You will have ideally previously worked in a field service position working on mechanical or electrical equipment, however our client also has an affinity for ex-military engineering personnel. Your ability to be a problem solver and a can-do attitude together with a sound engineering background is vital.
- Hold a formal engineering qualification such as City and Guilds or NVQ OR an electrical qualification
- You’ll have previous field service engineering experience or have been an engineer within the military
- Multiskilled background
- Able to fault find and fix mechanical and electrical systems
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
