The Role of the Field Service Engineer:
- You will be based from home, repairing and installing a range of end-of-line machinery.
- Equipment used within various industries such as food, construction, pharma, and distribution, amongst others.
- Visiting a range of well-known and prestigious clients.
- Conducting installations, commissioning and responding to breakdown calls.
- Fault find, diagnose, and repair equipment.
- Accurate report writing for customer and internal use
- The role is 50% mechanical, 50% electrical, so will suit a multiskilled engineer
- A Mon – Fri role with some overtime available. This role may involve nights away from home and frequent travel.
Ideal Background for the Field Service Engineer:
- Hold a formal engineering qualification such as City and Guilds, HNC, HND, NVQ, apprenticeship or an electrical qualification.
- You’ll have previous field service experience or have been an engineer within the armed forces.
- Multiskilled background
- Basic understanding of PLC fault finding (specific training can be provided)
- Strong customer service skills
- Good administrative and accurate reporting skills
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Willingness to stay out as required
The Package for the Field Service Engineer:
- £36,000 – £45,000 Basic Salary, depending on experience.
