It’s a common misconception that the key to productivity is working hard and grinding it out. In reality, however, research has shown that taking breaks and focusing on quality over quantity can actually lead to better results. One study found that employees who took more frequent breaks were able to stay focused and had higher levels of job satisfaction. Another study found that employees who took shorter, more frequent breaks were more productive than those who took longer breaks less often.
So, if you’re looking to boost your productivity, try doing less instead of more.
